The Geographically Distributed Web-Server Systems (GeoWeb) project investigates distributed Web-server systems composed by multiple server nodes, in which the first-level routing is carried out by the Domain Name System (DNS). Topics include the analysis of architectures and request routing mechanisms, and the development of dispatching algorithms to distribute client requests among the multiple server nodes.

GeoWeb is a joint project between the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, the Department of Computer Engineering of the University of Roma "Tor Vergata", and the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Modena.
