Marco Emilio Poleggi is now a post-doc researcher at D.I.S. - University of Rome "La sapienza". He received the Laurea degree (master) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Roma "La Sapienza" in 1999. His research interests focus on the areas of fault tolerance and performance analysis applied to advanced Web architectures. Marco Emilio Poleggi is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.

• Marco Emilio Poleggi received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering
  at the University of Roma "Tor Vergata" in May 2003.
• He received the Laurea degree (master) in Electronic Engineering
  from the University of Roma "La Sapienza" in Nov. 1999.

• Advanced Web architectures:
  
• high performance cluster-based Web servers (HiPerWeb);
• cache cooperation mechanisms (Global Caching) for Web clusters.
• Performance analysis and simulation:
• parallel and distributed systems modeling;
• simulation of Web architectures (CWebSim).
• Distributed systems and Computer networks:
• global memory management;
• fault tolerance.
