Title

Introduction to Hybrid Systems.

Speakers

Daniele Carnevale and Sergio Galeani, Tor Vergata University of Rome

When and Where

  • Schedule: April 11th and 18th from 9:30 to 12:15, May 9th 2024 from 9:30 to 13:00 (10 hours)

All lectures in sala Riunioni (Ingegneria della Informazione building, ground floor, room AT 07)

Main Topics

Hybrid dynamical systems are a class of systems mixing continuous time (flow) and discrete time (jump) behaviours, hence presenting features similar to both classes of systems, plus some new, peculiar ones. After illustrating some of the specifically hybrid phenomena, the course introduces basic methods and tools for modelling, stability analysis and control design of hybrid dynamical systems and controllers. Specific classes of hybrid systems (such as switching ones) and applications will also be discussed.
