Main Topics

The course describes some of the high-performance computing techniques for scientific applications. The application examples are taken mainly from numerical linear algebra, with particular attention to the many cases in which the formulation of the problems, the mathematical techniques necessary to solve them, the data structures and the computer implementation techniques interact with each other in complex and necessarily interdisciplinary way.
