Distributed & Mobile Systems Engineering

Welcome to the home page of the DAMON research group in the Department of Civil Engineering and Computer Science Engineering (DICII) at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

Our group carries out research activities in the fields of distributed systems and networks, mobile systems, and cloud/edge systems, with a strong emphasis on the analysis and optimization of Quality of Service (QoS) for adaptive and autonomous systems.

Our overarching goal is to investigate large, networked, evolving systems—both fixed and mobile—with demanding performance and dependability requirements where dynamic changes are the rule rather than the exception.

λ
Why DAMON? From Greek mythology: Δαμων (Damon), "one who tames" (derived from δαμαω (damao), "to tame").
