An overview of our research activities.

The Cluster-based Web Systems (HiPerWeb) project aims at the development of new architectures and mechanisms for the efficient provision of Web content. Our research activity is focused towards the following topics:

• the design and implementation of scalable, content-aware request distribution mechanisms in a locally distributed environment;
• the design and implementation of content-aware dispatching algorithms.

HiPerWeb is a joint project between the Department of Computer Engineering of the University of Roma "Tor Vergata", and the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Modena.
